Really great podcast once again. I am so thankful for the priests of this diocese who have been unfailingly insightful, kind, and compassionate when I have gone to confession. This sacrament is a wonderful gift from Our Lord. God is so generous with his mercy and helping us to overcome sins if we only come to Him (I know from my own life). Many people worry about the “how to” of going to confession so this type of discussion is so helpful.

If you need a topic to discuss I would really like to hear about forgiveness between people. I’ve read a lot about forgiveness, but only seem to be more confused. I’ve read a lot about what forgiveness isn’t, but what do I have to do in concrete terms to forgive someone? I’ve read that forgiveness is a feeling, that it’s not just a feeling, that it’s only obligatory if someone asks for it, and that it is obligatory always if someone sins against us. I’ve read that it is releasing someone from a debt owed you due to their sin, but what if a person has no power to collect a literal or figurative debt due to sin? Thanks and please know how much this podcast is appreciated!
